FAQs About Outdoor Wall Printing
Can outdoor wall printing withstand wind, rain, and sunlight? How long does it last?
A: We use outdoor weather-resistant ink combined with an anti-UV coating, which, under normal conditions (without deliberate damage), can withstand 3 to 5 years of outdoor exposure (in areas with strong ultraviolet rays or acid rain, it is recommended to repaint every 5 years). We will enhance the material’s durability based on the local climate.
What pre-treatments are needed on the wall before printing?
It is essential to ensure that the wall surface is flat and free of cracks (small cracks should be repaired with putty), clean and free of dust and oil stains (using a high-pressure water gun or sanding), and the base is solid (old walls should be reinforced first). We provide a checklist for inspection, and we can also arrange for a dedicated person to carry out the preliminary treatment.
The outdoor light is too bright. What should be considered during the design process?
A: In a dark and dry environment, the color can remain without significant fading for 5 – 8 years (slight differences may occur in areas with strong light or high humidity). If enhanced weather resistance is required, UV-resistant ink can be selected to extend the lifespan~
How long will the construction period take? Are any special equipment required?
A: For regular interior walls within 100㎡, completion takes 7 – 10 working days (including design/pre-treatment/printing); for extra-large areas/complex terrains, segmented construction will be carried out. Equipment such as aerial work platforms and outdoor printers are required, and safety plans should be pre-planned~
How much more expensive is outdoor printing than indoor printing? What factors affect the price?？
For outdoor applications, due to the use of materials (UV-resistant ink + protective coating) and the higher difficulty of installation, the unit price is approximately 30% to 50% higher than that for indoor projects. The cost depends on the area, height, material, and complexity of the design. We can provide a free design proposal along with a budget estimate.
